Giants-Eagles Injury Update

The Philadelphia Eagles sent the rival New York Giants to a second straight loss even without Michael Vick at quarterback, while the Green Bay Packers won to improve to 10-0 and match the best start in team history. This is a pretty boring game. Giants are just not getting things going. And neither are the Eagles, quite frankly.  But after a huge DeSean Jackson punt return, the Eagles are leading 10-3.
The offense is just of of sync. No running game. Eli hasn’t been good, and has the interception. Eli did have a beautiful throw to Nicks down the field, but it was dropped. Da’Rel Scott has had some action, but again, just nothing much. Signs of life, however, on the last drive of the half, that led to the field goal.
The defense is benefitting from the fact that Vince Young is not a good quarterback. He cannot throw the ball downfield, so while there are guys open, he’s not hitting them. Prince Amukamara had his first interception, but it was on a poorly thrown ball by VY. Phillips has an interception, but it was on a tipped ball. Giants got a huge break on a taunting call on DeSean Jackson after a huge gain. Just a stupid play by him. McCoy hasn’t done too much, but he has been causing some issues.  Not too much pressure. Like I said, pretty boring.
Allowing DeSean Jackson to have that huge punt return is just unacceptable. Don’t kick it to him. That led to the Smith touchdown at the end of the half. Just awful, can’t let that happen.
The Giants have to get going here. Not sure how. Maybe trying to go downfield again. A screen to Nicks. Anything to get the offense going. The defense can stop Young. You have to kick it away from Jackson. That punt return could be the turning point. Giants need to score quickly in the first half, get this game back in control.
