Alex Smith threw two touchdown passes and the 49ers’ defense forced five turnovers, including three interceptions of the Cardinals’ John Skelton.
The Cowboys beat the Washington Redskins 27-24 on a 39-yard field goal in overtime by Dan Bailey. The Cowboys won their third straight game to tie the Giants for first place in the NFC East while the Redskins (3-7) have lost six in a row for the first time since 1998.
The Atlanta Falcons defeated the Tennessee Titans 23-17 to rebound from last week’s overtime loss to New Orleans, while the Baltimore Ravens beat the Cincinnati Bengals 31-24 to tie Pittsburgh for first place in the American Football Conference’s North Division.
In other NFL Week 11 action, it was Seattle 24, St. Louis 7; Oakland 27, Minnesota 21; Miami 35, Buffalo 8; and Cleveland 14, Jacksonville 10. The Denver Broncos beat the New York Jets 17-13 in the Thursday night NFL game.
