New Frank Gore Injury Update:San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore suffered a sprain of his left ankle in Sunday's victory over the Washington Redskins, but in spite of being gimpy after the game, he is reportedly feeling good and expecting to play on Sunday. On Monday, Jim Harbaugh told the press that he spoke with Gore and that x-rays came out good and "Frank was feeling good, he was feeling like Frank." Gore also told gathered media that he felt alright.San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore said he could have played in the second half of Sunday's win over the Giants. But it's pretty noteworthy that he didn't. Despite the fact that the Niners were in a close battle throughout the game, Gore didn't play at all in the second half after a second-quarter tackle twisted his knee. Kendall Hunter took over in the backfield and ran six times for 40 yards and an barely contested touchdown. Unfortunately for Gore's owners, his modified playing time and the Giants' defense left him with almost nothing. Gore didn't gain a yard over six carries and caught just one pass for eight yards. FANTASY ANALYSIS: I'm probably burying the lead here. Head coach Jim Harbaugh said after the game that he expects Gore to play next week against the Arizona Cardinals. We'll see about that. Gore has suffered sprains to both ankles this season and now has a twisted knee. The injuries are piling up for him and you have to wonder when/if they'll start affecting him. We'll keep tabs on his activity during the week. You know you have to start him against the Cardinals if he's active and even if he's not 100 percent.
